As an electrical and electronics engineer, with a first speciality in microelectronics and then energetics and environment, I studied and worked in Scotland, Switzerland and Mexico, and France, of course! I always appreciate the incredible diversity of our world, and worked on various subjects in many international contexts - firms, international organizations and universities, in telecommunications, energy generation and planning, but also in training, tourism and press. This curiosity leads my career as well as a desire of bettering communication between cultures and different knowledge and research fields. It is then very naturally that I studied and graduated in translation, marrying technical and cultural experiences and allowing me to be more geographically stable with age! I’m fond of new technologies, new methods and processes, in science and technical fields, all what confirm that life is bubbling in the world cauldron. Underlying these activities, I’m also very fond of personal development, new therapies and … philosophy. More practically, I think that quality in translation requires from the translator honesty in her/his understanding of the source text and her/his awareness of the audience target, leading to term accuracy and style fit, text fluency and finally content effectiveness. Another key element is the quality of the relationship between the translator and the client, based itself on mutual trust, reactivity and punctuality. I’m looking forward to your propositions!
