Ana, Professional translator

I have always had a passion for languages and I am really interested in learning more and more. I believe it was that passion alongside my willingness to make languages colide the reason why I took a Master's in Translation and Communication- it was the passion to make people be heard, to make words simpler, to transform and solve equations of letters. Translating is more than just say what it is written, it is to perceive, interpret and understand what is said and being able to put it into another language as if it had just been said. The job of a translator is to not be noticed. Yet, our job is essencial. I love my profession and besides my Master's, I have been working as a freelancer since 2012 with the pair: EN-PT, PT-EN though I have recently been working with Spanish as well. During my bachelor in European Languages, Literatures and Cultures, I have achieved the proficiency level in English and the B1 level in Spanish besides having achieved the 5th level in English Linguistics. I have also learnt how to work with HTML, CSS and TEI programed languages and had Marketing as a discipline. I have translated legal documents, literary texts, general documents, blogs, science texts and medical websites. I am also interested in the Health/Medicine/Biological area since I studied Biology for a year at the university and had previously studied Biology and Geology for 3 years in secondary school. During my Master's I have acquired and developed different competences for translators and revisers as established in the norms EN 15038 and ISO 17100. But all that would be nothing if I did not like what I do. It would be my pleasure to help you communicate.
